Position Overview:

We seek a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and supporting students with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist classroom teachers in delivering lessons and implementing instructional strategies tailored to students' needs.

- Support students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, mathematics, and other subjects as required.

- Provide students with one-on-one or small group support to reinforce learning objectives and promote academic growth.

- Assist in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education teachers, and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote student success and well-being.

- Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

- Provide supervision and support during classroom activities, field trips, and other school events as needed.

 

 

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

- AA degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field preferred.

- Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.

- Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and educational interventions for students with special needs.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.

- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.

- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
